What are the width, depth, and height of your two cages?

It is important that they be able to flap their wings and get around without injury and to be comfortable.

Mine get daily flight time so they can stretch their wings and do what pigeons love to do, and that is fly.

Flight time allows them time to be pigeons and is healthy for them, and insures their happiness.

I have 6 small animal cages that I keep 6 pigeons in when they are secured.

Yep, Victor is right.

Any cage should only be used for a limited amount of time, when it is night, or when the birds have no supervision.

Other then that your birds should have quality free-flight time outside of any cage.

I would opt for the "longest" cage, not the "tallest". Pigeons don't climb around inside thier cage like parrots and other cage birds.
