Eurasian Collared Dove Development - Pictures


Last year one of our members, Sally, rescued a eurasian collared dove that she named Kelly. She has provided me with photos of Kelly's development from squab to adult so that I could share them and help others identify identify young collared doves (which can be confused with wood pigeons and feral pigeons at an early age).

Collared doves develop faster than pigeons, fledging in the wild between 15 and 19 days.
