Pigeon and dove care E-Books for the rescuer on the go.I completed compiling, with references to the origin of these articles, an e-book regarding doves, and pigeons. I was thinking how there is a bunch of information on the forums I'm a part of. I started making e-books for myself, so I could carry the information to the pet store when I was looking for something specific like medicine. It has taken months to edit, arrange and create this free pigeon book. Now whenever I want to answer a commonly asked question on these forums, I can quote the book! (lol)
I haven't figured out how to make it downloadable, but I have it in two formats now. Pigeon Care comes in Word format and www.mobipocket.com format (a free e-book reader). Message me if you have a pocket pc or smart phone or a computer and would like a copy. I will email it to you. Subjects covered so far: FORWARD: BASH THIS BOOK! What A Cool Idea A E-Book About The Info To Help Save Pigeons Would Be Great The Best Part It Would Come From Pigeon Talk People.
This e-book Will Be Alot Of Info To Put Together. I Think You will also Have To Ask Each Preson That You Plan To Quote/use there info In It As e-books Are Books. I'll See What i can Find Out About How To do The Download Type. I would Love To Have One But Don't Have pocket pc or smart phone. Gook Luck With This E-Book.

Hi philodice,
I thank you for sharing the dove\pigeon care e-book with me! Such a great reference to carry in my pocket. And the mobipocket reader/writer are awesome too. Having fun with those. Will be nice for my commute. Re: pigeon talk in the pocket, I'll admit to using the site via smartphone while on the train to and from work. Or when hubby is on the home computer and I want to look something up. It is kind of clumsy to use that way though. An e-book of p-t info relevant to meds, etc...would allow for finding the information faster while in a pet store, vet's office or whatnot. Definitely interested in a copy of the p-t advice book when you complete it ![]()

The first draft of the PT ebook is complete, I'll be revising it in my mobile device.
I welcome advice, criticism, editing requests, and if you happen to have been quoted you may ask me to remove the qoutes. I am not publishing this or selling it, just consider it an 'offline' save of what you already have shared with us on the site.

This is going faster than I thought. The e-book from pigeon talk is complete and edited. The e-book on chicken care is complete. All versions are ready for use/download. You will need to use all three books as some information is only in one of the books and they are meant to be used as a set. I'm really enjoying reading them in the carpool, post office, etc.

After I had a chance to read the ebooks I realized how they really weren't up to par. Days of editing, moving around information, taking out repetitive articles and paragraphs and shortening up some of the articles while adding other articles. Adding warnings in appropriate places in the homeopathic section, as well as a disclaimer at the end, and polishing up that table of contents (which is considerable). These are not small books, these are full of enough information to raise, feed, breed, and first aid/emergency for several types of dove and pigeon. Just compiling these books has helped me learn so much! I'm almost ashamed that I let the unfinished versions out a bit ago, when NOW they are ready.
I'd like to note that I am not the author, just the compiler. Use at your own risk.

Nope, no URL. I did send the books to the person who asked, but these are not 'light reading'. There is some heavy stuff in there. Best to ask specific help and save the books for the ambitious.

Book three is complete!
+++ FORWARD: The purpose of this book. If you are reading this perhaps you have read books one and two in the series. “Dove and Pigeon Care” and “Avian Rehab Primer”. The first two contained loads of information on care, breeding, rescue, rehab, disease, and nutrition. Here in parts one through four of book three, for the first time we focus on aviculture basics for Columbia Livia in an easy to work with format. What is a feral pigeon? What exactly should they eat? Parts five through eight explain the breeding and training of homing birds. In parts nine through eighteen we dig much further into nutrition, toxins, and vitamins than in the previous books, with case studies and in depth research into diseases both common and exotic. In many ways I feel this should have been the first book, and you will find it a fascinating read. +++ edit...there is no more book three, it is all in one book now.
