I'm glad you were able to find Spartrix so easily. The dose for an adult or large youngster is one tablet. You would give a half tablet to a small pigeon or dove.

You can buy spartrix and appertex (for coccidiosis) from Boddy and Ridewood too.

I have also bought the human equivalent of Synulox (augmentin) and doxycycline online, they were shipped from Thailand - no prescription required.

Check Foy's Pigeon Supplies online in Pennsylvania. They sell a number of pigeon meds without prescription. If you have a small gram scale, you can also use human antibotic, scaled down to the weight of the pigeon.

You can buy Spartrix in the UK from pretty much any supplier that specialises in pigeons. For example:

http://www.petlifeonline.co.uk/Store...ducts/Spartrix
http://www.wormers.co.uk/acatalog/On...oultry_18.html
http://www.petshoppingdirect.co.uk/d...mallanimal.pdf

The great thing about Spartrix is that it's virtually impossible to overdose. Clinical tests have been done with 10x the recommended dose, with virtually zero side effects.

That is very comforting to know.

Regarding augmentin (human form of clavamox) and doxycycline the site is www.edrugnet.co.uk.

Tablet is for 375 mg whereas the usual clavamox/synulox tablet contains 25 mg.
Since 1 dose is 6.25 mg (a quarter of the clavamox tablet) you would need to dilute 1 augmentin tablet in 30 ml and give 0.5 ml to the pigeon twice daily.

Alternatively dilute in 60 ml and give 1ml.
