Maybe, but I would think they are too round and they are pretty light, lighter than the plastic eggs even.

My birds will sit happily on golf balls though I can't imagine it's very comfortable for them.. The plastic eggs in the UK come in two halves, I fill the eggs with sand, to weight them, then stick the halves together.

I made some eggs out of polymer clay, it's not too expensive and comes out the right weight all by itself durable too
