Wooden eggs for bird birth control, the cheapest around!

http://stores.ebay.com/A-Country-Cra...QQftidZ2QQtZkm

Check out this seller on ebay. Dove and pigeon size it looks like.
Of course, who needs THIS many at one time?
Maybe one of us buys a pack and shares, lol.

I just bought a pack of 6 RN dove size eggs like these for $1.50 from a craft store. They also had eggs sizes for D.Doves, they were 12 for $2.50, they had chicken size eggs too but they were like $2.00 each.

These are cheaper; http://www.siegelpigeons.com/catalog...nestbowls.html . Even though the plastic ones are cheaper, they aren't worth it I bought 48 of them and they are useless. The wooden ones are by far better. They are down about half way on the page.

These are the wooden ones, but unpainted.

I use the little plastic ones for my smaller birds and they seem to like them better then my homers, they prefer the wooden ones.

Interesting how different birds take to the different eggs.

We get plastic eggs for pigeons, at approx $1.80 per 10, and they will sit very contentedly on those.

I use both plastic and wooden. Doesn't matter to my birds. Long as it's round and white, they'll sit on them.

You can never have too many around here.

My pij Splash sat on a 12 pack once. I believe I sent Cindy a picture.

Nothing like a pij straddeling a 12 pack of eggs.

Now, that WOULD be a picture!! Did Splash think she was as big as a chicken??

Squeaks seems to like his "wooden" egg...

I would think that Ping Pong balls would be too big...

I need to find the craft stores you guys go to. My local stores had nothing, and then I go onto the internet and find eggs for 16-25 dollars per pair. Plus shipping. So I found a 12 pack on ebay for 3 dollars plus 5 in shipping.

Not sure what she was thinking but that she needed more calcium. Wondering how the eggs went from 2 to 12, she probably thought she had a blackout.
