Question

2 daddys


I have a black mated couple who babys this time is red. I do have a red bird. Could she have mated w/ him? well i know she could of but i thought they usally stay w/ each other The other baby is like it mother color.

Just wondering

I've heard that pigeons may mate for life, but like people, they're not always faithful.

The ONLY way to be sure that the babies you get are 100% from the "pair" is to keep your birds locked up in separate breeding pens, from the time the birds are put together, until the time the eggs have been laid and incubation has started.

Any time there is more than one cock bird in the loft, there is a chance that the hen will mate with someone other than her "mate"
