A Question From My Friend

Yesterday, when I was talking to my friend on the phone, he said that he is feeding Francis with something he is not sure is healthy for him or not. He told me to come here and ask everyone about it. Unfortunately, I do not remember what it was, as I was not feeling well when he called me. Normally, I can remember what someone tells me, but if I don't feel well, then I don't remember. I just sent him an e-mail to ask him what he said the food was so that I can tell you. I am still waiting for his e-mail. When I get it, I'll get back to you. He is a good friend and wouldn't do anything that would cause me to lose Francis.

Ok, I got the e-mail from my friend. He said that he was feeding Francis with some buckwheat and that Francis had been eating quite a bit of it. Is this healthy for him? Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Hi Afra,
I have looked up a couple articles, one being from the Arizona Pigeon Club that stated buckwheat along with the other seeds is fine for feral pigeons (or at one time being feral).

I agree; it's a blessing to find a friend, once a total stranger, who is willing to become your friend and take on the task of caring for your pet pigeon with the same loving care that you yourself give. I am eagerly looking forward to next week so that I can meet this friend who has been talking to me only via e-mail and phone all this time! hehe
