a tagged racing pigeon in need of a home

I have a tagged racing pigeon whose owner didnt want him back. I really need to find him a home soon because we have eagles and hawks here. I live on a lake and Im afraid that my pigeon will be killed if I dont find him a new home. He had a mate when he showed up here a year ago but she has been killed by some sort of predator. If anyone is interested, I would love to hear from you. P.S. I live in Michigan.

hi cindamae and welcome,unless you find somebody who is going to keep it as a pet and not let it out,they will have to build an aviary for it.because there are preditors in every place we live.so since you've had it this long and i can tell you care for it,or you would not be looking for a safe place for your bird.maybe you can do the same and enjoy him yourself.lots of luck to you and your friend.

I live in Waterford, MI. I could take in the pigeon. I used to have 2 homing pigeons so I'm experianced. I hope you live close.
