Abandoned Egg

An egg has been abandoned. Can it be saved? If so, what do I do?

The parents were seen yesterday cleaning out the eggshell of a broken egg from the nest and have not been seen at all today. I'd like to save it if I can.

Please help!

Hello,

Just leave the egg where it is. It will not start to develop until it is incubated and this will not happen until the parents lay a second egg.

The incubating of eggs is best left to the parents.
