baby hatched!!!!

i have fantastic news!!! one of my pair of homers finally their egg hatched. it hatched on thursday. when i went to see them i saw egg shells on the floor and knew today was the day. they only had one egg hatch, i dont know what happened with the other egg. well before i know it the squab will already be flying.lol

Good news. But, you must wait a couple days for the second egg to hatch.
The you will have two.

i have even greater news!! i went to check on the baby and my second pair of homers their babys hatched. both of them. so now i have 3 newly babys. i still have one more pair that their eggs are to hatch sometime next week. now i know why people say pigeons produce fast.

Please be sure to band them. That's VERY important!!! With homers, 5 -8 is your banding "window".
