breed identification help needed

Hello Fellow Pigeon Fanciers

I am looking for help on figuring out what breed of pigeon I have. I believe it is a fancy pigeon but I am not sure what breed it is. I have had racing pigeons for many, many years and since then have enjoyed Domestic Show Flights as my breed of choice. I cannot figure out how to attach at photo to this message but if someone is interested in trying to help me, I will be happy to e-mail a photo to him/her. Thank you in advance.

Hello and welcome to pigeons.com. If you would care to e-mail the picture to me at TAWhatley@earthlink.net I'll be happy to put it up on my website and then post the URL here so all the members can have a look.

Kathy,
I have no idea what breed of pigeon you have there, but h/s is absolutely stunning.
The tail does look like that of a pheasant.

Thanks Terry for posting the pictures.
Cindy

I just looked at the picture again. Is it the wing or tail that has the spots on it?

Dave is right-it's a pheasant pigeon. There's another name for it as well, I believe nuremburg lark. It's a breed originating in Germany. Can be flown in small flocks, like archangels. Primarily a fancy breed.
