Building a nestHi. I have created a short article with pictures about the pigeon nest construction. If you are interested you can check this page . The eggs appeared in February and I didn't think the little ones will survive since I have a large open loft and it was pretty cold(frozen water). However, now they are adults and are already building their own nest.

Thanks for posting your link, Andrei!
I have just been enjoying your pictures and movies I congratulate you on your pigeons, a wonderful pictorial site and building such an excellent home for them all!Indeed they have their own individual sound - whether calling the mate, grumbling about something or (as you say) purring. In the quiet of an evening, when most are roosting, it is so restful to listen outside of the aviary to their 'conversations'. John |

Heh, even all you here might think I'm completely insane. It's relaxing but also, this way I can notice many important things at each of them - health, nesting status, number of free perches, etc. They are over 50 now and I only have 2 eyes, so I spend some time there. Thanks John, and I like your site a lot, that's why it's in my links page. Last edited by Andrei; 19th July 2004 at 12:56 PM. |
