Christmas baby pigeonMerry Christams . THis morning, I found that an egg has hatched and we have a beautiful healthy, strong appearing baby pigeon. It looks to be a few days old. We were out of town for a few days and left the birds food and water while we were gone. And, wouldn't you know the blessed event occurred without us.
My concern is that it has turned kind of cold here in South Louisiana (high thirties for the lows tonight). Should I set up a warming lamp near the little one, or will this scare the parents from taking care of it.? Your experience is appreciated. This is our first baby pigeon.
