fantails and bobwhite quail

Hello, I recently bought a pair of fantails and was wondering if it would be ok to house them with the bobwhite quail that i raise? I have an 8'x 16' pen with 8 ft of shelter, and about 7 1/2 ft tall.
There are about 30 quail in the pen right now but at peak times may have as many as 200 . Was just curious if my fantails would be ok in there with them and also would it be ok if they shared the same food?I am currently feeding my fantails , purina pigeon food. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Pigeons and Quail? Seems to me that quail spend most of their time on the groud, not on perches, like the pigeons do. Is this correct.
I do not think the pigeons would attack the quail unless invaded at the nesting box or some special perch reserved for pigeons. What I do not know is how quail will treat the pigeons.

From raising quail myself w/ Fantails & other breeds. I do know that some pigeons are a bit picky on who is in there loft. So just a hit of advice the quail would be the one effected not the pigeons. Unless the quail gang up on the fantail(s) (which is rare.) Well take your own choice.
