Feral pigeon eating my flowers, will this hurt him?

I was getting ready to go out and give the pigeons & ducks their afternon snack and I looked in the back yard, there were "31", yep 31, feral pigeons sunbathing and frolicking in the three bird baths we have out for them, while they were waiting for me to come out. Then I looked over to the side of our yard (where I have 2 purple fountain grass bushes and 2 Texas purple sage bushes)to find a new comer (beautiful white pigeon with gray markings) eating the blue flowers off my Texas sage. Will this hurt him? After the ordeal with Whitefeather I don't want anything out there that will be harmful. Isn't this a hoot! Pigeon proofing my back yard. Just like with children, can't be too careful. Cindy

Hi Cindy

Texas sage is listed as non-toxic, but I can't find the other one listed as either. It sounds safe, if that is any comfort!

I am trying to pigeon proof my house, avoiding essential oils like the plague (I was into aromatherapy) and wondering how to cope without teflon!

Cynthia

Thanks Cynthia,
The big guy doesn't seem to bother the fountain grass. He was nibbling at the Texas sage again today and appears to be just fine so guess all is well. Thanks again, Cindy
