Wow-ee! They are beautiful pigeons. I don't know anything about them. Good luck.

WOW!
Hey, does anyone know, can any sort of breed be mated with another? Just curious...

Any pigeon breed can be crossed with another, but many people frown on this because it "ruins" the breed. If they are just pets it isn't a big deal, but it's best to keep purebreds pure, if for no other reason than if you need to give them up, it's easier to find homes for purebreds.

Officially the are called Columbia livia - Rock Dove. They are commonly blue bars or blue check styles, but you will see many other colors, feathered feet, partial frills, rollers and tumblers, and homer traits among them.

The bird in the pic is a racing homer. That color pattern is not a breed, just a color pattern. Most breeds can be bred into the blue bar pattern.

good example http://community.webshots.com/photo/...11876403xehyVu

Hope that helps some, good luck.

Cool

Cool....
I don't really want to breed my birds, but would certainly like to get girlfriends for them some day. Thanks for those links. Really neat pics!
