Found young pigeon with broken wing!

I just rescued a pigeon with a broken wing. It was walking around on the street dragging it's wing around in the city. THe pigeon seems young because it hasn't cooed and it did a small sqeak. It seems very thin, I gave it some water and put it in a file box until I can get it home. I tried the emergency care section, but the link regarding how to set broken wings is not opening. Please send me detailed instructions of how to set a broken wing. I have two other pigeons, so I know how to care for them but I have never had one with a broken wing before. I know that i should keep them seperate for risk of disease. What can I wash the bird with to get poop off of it's feathers?

Please send me a link or instructions, for it is a very sweet bird and I would like to help it! Thanks!

If the "dirt" is just poop, it should come off fairly easily with just warm water. If there is also oily/greasy dirt, add a little Dawn dish detergent to the water and then rinse very, very well.

Thank you for helping this needy youngster!
