Got a good home for the right pigeon.

Something caught my pigeon. I never knew I could miss him so much. He was with me on the farm every where I went.----I had thought that I probably would just not get another one, but I really miss having him around. ------In the past I've seen posts where folks were wanting to find a home for a pigeon. I could provide a good home if there is still a bird out there needing one. I'm on the east coast, West Virginia to be exact. Thanks!

Lloyd, you said that you worked on a farm... Do any ferals nest in your barns?

Hi Lloyd,

I'm very sorry that something got your pigeon. I'm also pretty sure that it won't be long before a needy pigeon in your area comes along. If you are especially anxious, please check with your local animal shelters, humane groups, and wildlife rehabilitators. There may very well be a pigeon badly in need of a home right now.

Nick, I don't have ferals in the barn. There are lots of hawks and a few Eagles in the area though. (Eagles get my chickens now and then). Pige apparently went in the woods to my squirrel feeder to get corn very early one morning. He had been on the ground there when something got him. I suspect a fox or bobcat was there looking for squirrels. Pige usually didn't go there in early morning but this time he had been gone for a couple days, I guess looking for a girl friend, and came back that morning before I had put his food out. He was probably hungary and went there to eat. -----Thanks for all of the replies. Appreciate it!

Sad story.

You'll have to take steps, or you'll lose the next one too.

PIGEONS FOREVER!!!
