Question

Half Racer Half roller

I have mixed breed female who is part roller part racer the father is racer. recently i have been taking it on a 3 mile and 6 mile release trip with my other racers and it makes it back home ok. sometimes it makes it back home before some of my racers, should i trust her to take her on longer distance release trips like the other racers since she is only half breed

Well as long as its making it home I do not see why not. It may make a difference after you get out over fifty miles . But thats the risk.

I see how reason why it wouldn't some back, I have trained mixed breeds with my racers before. I have talked to some people that have flown wild birds to a 100 miles or more.

I bred a half-roller, half-racer about year ago. Never flew him. He looked just like the dad (my roller) in coloring and everything, but had a bigger body structure sort-of resembling the Homer mother. He was cool but I sold him because I really didn't need him.

My garnd father has flown a racer/fantail A VERY LONG WAY (i don't know the distance) and it came back, he was surplusing it on races to try to get rid of it. so i think flying it with your racers will be fine.
