Help Translate Dutch Instructions

I ordered Pural De Reiger - an herb and mineral mixture, but when I received it, there are no directions in English! I'd appreciate any help in translating this from the label:

Dosering - 1 koffielepel over 1 kg voeder
1 tot 2 maal per week
Bij thuiskomst, rui en kweek
Tegen het spuiten 3-5 dagen

Thanks!

Hi Terri,

This is the rudimentary translation, "Quantity - 1 coffee spoon over 1 kg feed 1 until 2 time per week By homecoming, rui and culture Against the
spurting 3-5 summon"

Hi TerriB,

I sent the instructions to some relatives in Holland for a translation of the rest.

Ah, so "koffielepel" is a coffee spoon. That gives me a start. Thanks, Brad!

Treesa, I appreciate your sending off for a complete translation. I hate to guess and be wrong!

This forum is great!

Oh lord you guys are so funny sometimes!

Love your interpretation Brad. It was pretty good. Better than I could have done by a long shot and so very funny. This really is the most resourceful site of all isn't it Maggie.

Must brush up on my Dutch one day. Terri, what posessed you to order stuff from the Dutch anyway....Just curious. Glad to know Treesa has relatives over there. Maybe it will help with my travel plans one day. Treesa, do they work for the airline by any chance? KLM Right?

LOL... that text translator tool didn't work the greatest, but it picked out a few words anyway Somehow, we all fuddle around trying to get some answer for our members

Cameron, a lot of pigeon products come from Europe, there are so many pigeon enthusiasts there. Because of the huge interest in pigeons by the Europeans, they've led the rest of the world for a long time in developing medicines and products to promote health in the birds

Hi Terri,

I'm sorry this took so long, I had to sent another e-mail to my cousin last night and she finally translated the instructions

Dosage- 1 coffee spoon, that is a teaspoon size in America, so use one teaspoon over every KILO seed.( a kilo is 1000 grams, which is more then 2 lbs, according to my cousin.)

Upon returning from a race, or when molting or breeding, and when they are due for preventive innoculations, use three to five days.

Dutch instructions

My wife is from Antwerp, where they speak Vlaams or Flemish, which is also known as Dutch or Hollandisch or Niederländsch in German. She's not here at the moment, though.
Check out Dutch websites in google.nl or Belgian websites in google.be or German websites in google.de. Most suppliers offer multilingual instructions.

1 kilogram = 1000 grams = 2,2 pounds
1 pound = 454 grams
1 ounce about 28,4 grams

Lepel or löffel (loeffel) sounds like ladle and means spoon.
Koffee or cafe or Kaffee or coffee, caffiene.
Dag, day, Tag, täglisch, daily.

I have some fun with German, occasionally: "Gift" in German means poison in English.

Thank you so much, Treesa and Larry, I really appreciate the information! I know I ordered this for a reason, but reading the label, all I could think was, "Huh?!?" Now I remember - it's to keep on hand to soothe the guts of stressed birds. I'm going to have to write more notes for myself. Thanks for all the assistance!
