I am back!

Hello Pigeon People!

Long time no see! Its been quite a while since I posted on the forum...due to a number of reasons....(computer problems , losing password , cousins coming over to stay during summer etc etc)
Well, my bird flock has increased by one member. I now own a wonderful African Grey as well!! His name is Romeo.

My pigeons are doing great. They are healthy beautiful birds. Viking the supposedly white male is turning into a real beauty. I cant help help but think that I have two males....since no eggs so far. *sigh*
I now have them on a varied diet..since they have finally grown accustomed to other grains apart from millet. I now give them some sorta pigeon mix(wheat, millet and some other stuff) from the petstore along with corn, peanuts, sunflower seeds. They also eat the tender parts of some veggies..along with seedlings that I grow in pots for them.

Their clipped feathers have regrown and they can fly now. Since they have become accustomed to their aviary now and I know that they will not escape....I now let them fly free sometimes. They werent very adventourous in the begining...but now they fly to the roof , neighbours terrace and a few hours before sunset theu return back to the aviary. I dont reallly have a hawk problem in our neighborhood...a few blocks away some pppl also have lofts and let their pigeons fly free...so I neednt be scared of hawks. Cats are a prob, but since they perch on the roof etc...cats dont go there...they just roam the walls and ground.

Its good to be back amongst pigeon people again....I mailed Carl (bigbird) about the posting problems that I was having and fortunatley I was able to post today....so thankyou Carl.
Have a nice day all of you ! Hopefully I'll keep up the updates on the pidgys...and post a few photos.
- FeatherBrain.
