I can't believe it!

Did anybody see 'The Big Breakfest'(morning tv program here in the UK) this morning???
They had a race between a greyhound and a pigeon.
Sadly the greyhound won easily.
I couldn't believe my eyes.

Anyways I was just wondering had anybody else had races between pigeons and different animals with similar outcomes?

Trained racing pigeons have been recorded flying at 60 mph. for up to 16-hours straight.

In such flight mode, their hearts beat at a rate of 600 beats per minute, for up to 16- hours, while their wing beats average ten per second--all the while making a mile a minute ground speed!

There is no land animal and few birds--I know of none--that can match this.

That's like saying, I saw a race between a man and a dolphin and the man won!

Per Marian, I assume is was a swim race.
