is there a cut out breeding period

My breeding pairs lay even before the earlier set is out of the coop or can fly. I have two boxes side by side which are used alternately. I have stacked them up like apatments. so each pair has a 'floor' of its own.
The reason I asked this was I read in this site ( somewhere ) that there is a breeding period!! - so do I stop my birds from breeding so fast

No. If you have a prolific pair, let them go at it, if you want to. Some breeders get up to six clutches from a hen in a year. But that's at the upper end and an enormous strain on the hen's physical resources.

Be sure to supplement your hen's diets with LOTS of calcium to avoid egg binding--a potentially lethal problem. Not only the shells, but the egg yolks contain high concentrations of calcium--the building blocks for the bones of the chick inside.

Calcium is also a "lyte" and is needed for
proper neuro-function in the hen.

Some pigeon pairs will breed nearly year round--but this has been the seasonal rush here in the states.

Did you get that loft varment proofed?

Hi, Flag and Blackjack have 2, two-week old chicks in one nest, and this morning when I went in, Flag has laid a fresh egg in the nest right next door to her chicks.

Winter breeding can be induced as well, but it has special considerations. This will require reading on your part and you would benefit greatly from someone who has done this successfully.
