Is this Good or Bad?????When we were catching up our birds yesterday for the race, we picked up one hen that has dropped her ninth and tenth fllights at the same time. I don't ever recall seeing this before. Of course, we didn't send her to the race, but I'm just wondering if this is that unusual? And of course she is banded with a money band and the money race is next week end, but she won't be entered into the race. She's more important than a little money.

This time of the year at least where I live the moult is still going on So sometimes this would be expected. The fdlights are mostly dropped on young birds as they age. But the moult can cause it to speed up.

lost feathersthe feathers and especially the flights are supposed to fall out one ay a time and when the fallen feather is almost fully replaced the next one goes but sometimes this does happen but nothing is wrong with the bird but you may want too watch her next year as there is always a small posibility this could be a heredity problem but again most likely nothing to fear
