Jamaica NY Pigeons Need Help/Homes

Hi Everyone,

I received an e-mail from a friend trying to get assistance for a pigeon rescue person in Jamaica, New York.

Apparently a pigeon rescuer has a large number of non-releasable pigeons housed in her apartment. She is in danger of having the birds seized and of being evicted.

If anyone can help with temporary or permanent housing for these birds, please contact the following:

Marilyn at CFurlong@ROBERTALLENDESIGN.com ..
put Attn: Marilyn - About Pigeons in your subject line. Marilyn and Michael are apparently the primary people involved in the rescue operation but are seeking help for a volunteer who is in trouble over the birds.

The above e-mail is one used at work as they do not have a computer at home. If you need to contact them during non-working hours, use this phone # .. (718) 658-1844.

If you are able to help, please post back to the list so we know what is going on.

Thanks!

Terry Whatley

We don't see Constantin post anymore and that's a shame because he knows of a sanctury near Albany that takes these unreleasable birds.

Terry,
I think I found the place where Constantin takes unreleasable N.Y. pigeons. http://www.birdparadise.com/birdparadise/index.htm

I've stopped postings because I'm sick and tired looking for help in New York. NOBODY wants to help, so I'm on my own now.
I just came from 'Bird paradise' where I took a 2 weeks baby pigeon who was entirely covered with lead/paint/oil from the MTA workers who rehabilitate the subway stations.
Shame on me...

Constantin,
What help are you looking for? How has this list failed you?
