Actually it's a matter of looking through hundreds of pictures to find some that could possibly compete with the ones already posted .. great photos so far everyone Looking forward to seeing lots more!

I would have liked to enter my pet Jax in the competition but unfortunately I don't have a proper digital camera. I've just got my mobile phone to take snaps on and the quality is not quite up to scratch. I'm enjoying looking at the entries others have posted however, and I must say competition is tough! So many lovely birdies to choose from.

I'm still a bit unsure of the competition rules. I realise that there are 10 entries in each category and that there is a voting poll at the end of each week. But when you say the competition will run for 4 or five weeks, does this allow for other entries to be posted, or are there just 40 pics in total for the whole competietion?

I am just getting started on my "to do" list, of things which include TAXES....but hope to be taking some new pics at the end of the week and posting one.

Terry is right, it is not the actual photography of the birds, but the decisions of picking the right one that is ALL OUT TIME CONSUMING. ....

Hi Jiggs,

The pictures will come FLOODING in, don't you worry It'll just take some time for everyone to pick their photos and/or take one. I found last year that the photo contest gained momentum after the first set of pictures were submitted so don't you worry about anything

40 pics per week so you can still enter Jax in next Monday if you could possibly go and lend a camera from a mate. Or the Monday after that!
