London Get Together

Hi Cate, Jedi, and anyone else in the London area! I am still up for a get-together if others are! I am open to go anywhere in the city, if anyone has a suggestion...? I brought over to the UK pictures of Pidge Pidge so I can be a 'proud parent' and show you all! Anytime next week or after would work for me. I'm assuming early evening? What works for everyone? I am excited!

Hi Jill,

Jenny (August's rescuer)is at home in North Carolina at the moment but she is appearing in a play in London from about mid October to beginning of November (Zadie's Shoes) http://www.wisedonkey.co.uk/zadies-1.html

John and I are hoping to catch a Sunday matinee (so that we can travel down and back in a day)...perhaps that could be the first step in the pub crawl (neither John or I are up to crawling!)

Cynthia

That would be great if you two could make it too. I looked up the web-site, and see that the play runs from 7 October to 1 November, so the Sunday shows would be October 12, 19, and 26. Perhaps we could plan a gathering for one of those days? We could either meet before the play, for lunch perhaps, or in the early evening. I personally could do any of those days, either time. Everyone else?

Poor rabbit, sounds painful!

Hmmm... Well I have a feeling it won't be our last meet-up anyway, if you can't make it this month, Jedi. But hopefully you'll be able to abuse rabbits and make it... or something like that

As for Sunday evening some time in October: sounds good to me!

Cool

Buongiorno di bologna...
Thought I'd drop in and see how plans are forming. Try as I might, dear Pidge, I ain't seen no rabbit willing to pop a hat out of 'em, so I think I'll have to sit this one out... but if anyone is thinking of Southern BBQ Ribs in Soho this Wednesday night, you'll find me at Bodean's BBQ on Poland Street, in the basement, shovelling back mountains of 'Slaw, Burnt Ends, and a rack of baby back ribs... and they do good beers/cocktails at reasonable prices, surprise surprise for the west-end...

And oh... Lil'T's back in a big way since it started getting cold again. I leave out feed at around 7.30-8.00 most nights and he drifts in for some munch before settling down for the night. He gets edgy when I go out on the balcony for a smoke-o but he's settling a bit. I only ever see him at night now, so no chance for a photo 'cos I don't wanna freak him with the flash....

And I don't know if anyone's notices, I've seen some HUGE pigeons around recently.... I mean, MASSIVE....

ciao for now.

Alright, considering it's 5:30 wed pm, I'm sure I'm too late... BUT, Jedi if you happen to get this and haven't already left for Soho: what time are you going? I am very near there just now (on my campus which is by Holborn) and thought I might pop by. Again, I figure you won't get this till later, but thought it was worth a try. If not, everyone else keep me updated on Sunday post-play plans!

Cool

Jill,

I sent you an email in response to your last post... didn't make it to Bodeans after all last night as I was delayed from Bologna. Pity, but will be there for lunch tomorrow. My contact details are on the email I sent.
