I was so happy when Pijji started Cooing. At first I thought he was upset at me because he would stick his face between my fingers and then walk around in a circle. He seems to do the same circle dance and cooing noises when I'm doing exercise- mat work. He also makes the cooing noise when a stranger approaches, which is when he'll fly on my shoulder and hide behind my hair. Every story I hear about cooing...seems like a happy thing. Yet, I think he's telling me he's upset. Am i understanding him wrong?
Also, that little owl sound... He was hooting at me one morning and it took me a while to realize it was coming from Pijji on the side of my bed. Does that mean he's happy?
(Reminisce) I remember when he would just Tweet. My son would sing POP Goes the Weasel... and every time it was time for POP he would hug Pijji and he would tweet. Very funny stuff.
He's been free to roam my apartment all its life, but I"m going on vacation and would feel better if he had a cage to hang out in at night instead of pooping all over the place. (I cant tell you how many times i've stepped in a fresh little turd) How big should the cage be? would a 3 x 2 x 2 cage be big enough? I'd like him to be comfortable while i'm gone.
