OMG this idiot deserved it!

It was a very good day until i was approaching my doorstep and i see a person standing under one of those long palm tree type trees and throwing rocks at the pigeons siting on there. There was this female who was guarding her babys because they were barely born about 3 days old or so. The person was throwing rocks and other stuff he could find at them up there so that really pissed me off and i went up to him and told him to stop it and that they didnt do anything to him. He said who gives a ... and he kept on going throwing objects at them. By the way, he looked like he was in his early 20's and i have never seen someone this old throw things at birds or any animals for that matter. (I myself am 17, my birthdays on july 11.) Anyways, i told him that if he doesnt stop throwing rocks at them that il call the police to have him arrested. Then he got mad and he pushed me and told me to f off which really pissed me off. I then tackled him down on the floor and we started to fight and i was so mad all i could think about was making him feel what he was doing and i just kept swinging and beating the hell out of him. I just kept hitting him until some neighbors came and broke it up. I told him that if i ever see him messing with birds again that il have him arrested. Those kind of people piss me off.

There will always be people of all ages who try to harm animals. These people are not "all there", cruel and unfeeling. I'm glad you had the courage to stand up to someone who was trying to harm this pigeon, but getting into a physical fight over it, is dangerous. Our world today is dangerous and you never know if someone is carrying a weapon and will be crazy enough to use it. Try calling the police next time instead

I'd keep an eye on the nest because I can see that individual coming back to finish what he started just for spite! I don't condone violence but some people need a little more motivation then others. Good lookin' out!

Well I condone punching out people who push and shove and injure animals. Go for it buddy. When they push, push back. Otherwise we are a coalition of fools, pretenders to the throne of protecting the weak and defenceless. All words and no actions. Waiting for authority to step in. Does that really carry any weight????????

If I get pushed I will push back too. Nice work pal.

Promoting violence is not a very sensible thing to say to a youth. We have enough violence in this world without saying to impressionable young minds that it's "right". I think he did right by standing up to this bully and defending the pigeon but assaulting someone isn't the answer. No good ever comes from this. Defending yourself is another issue however as this person stated.

Besides, if *by chance* someone is carrying a weapon and uses it on you, and then you die...then I guess you won't be fighting the "good" fight ever again.

I guess our Soldiering 18 year olds over in Afghanistan carrying rocket launchers and machine guns are just impressionable youth too. If you get punched and pushed by a stranger PP, will you stand up and be counted or run home to Mom.

Like I said, if pushed, push back or take your licks and give up the fight.

What do you want to be?

And PS, how do you know this person is a youth. There is no age details given so don't try making me feel I have done wrong after the fact. You could have E-mailed me to tell me if that was the case but as usual you choose to start your fights on-line to make yourself look good. So stop bugging me Brad.

PPS: Rats eat seeds, nuts and grains. They only eat meat when very hungry or starved. Rats are omnivores but their primary diet is NOT meat. Bears are carnivores too but all throught the season the subsist on berries, insects and grains too. Pandas, (a bear) never eats meat period. And since we are on the subject, pigeons do eat meat when hungry. Surprised? So does that make them meat eaters? Carnivores even? Your TV facts are wrong, wrong, wrong! You have to see it for yourself in real life before you start lecturing people about what animals do and do not eat. So don't you now start lecturing me about standing up for what is right. If I push you, do you not push back my friend? Or do you run and hide?

A personal assault is a personal issue. Our friend here stood up for himself and your best suggestion is to call the police. Since when do the police represent pigeon-rights. What planet are you living on? So don't bug me for speaking my mind!

(Oh dear, let's close this thread too before it gets out of hand. Better yet, let's modify Camerons post so no one will read what he actually wrote! Even better, let's delete it because he is getting out of hand!!!!) Well, do all of the above and more for all I care, Brad. You folks refused to let me out of the noose once before so you will have to live with me now and live with what you created. This is not a happy family here at PT as Treesa typified it the other day. It is a normal dysfunctional family and there are some unhappy members (for good reasons too!). Shall I name them all?

Cameron

As I said in my above post, there is a difference between defending oneself and promoting violence. Diplomacy is the best route to go if possible, then call the proper authorities. There have been other cases of members here who have come across people bullying animals but they weren't instructed to "punch them out". Of course we all feel like doing that sometime, but we are supposed to be civilized beings...well maybe not all of us are

Sorry Brad, I am civilized. I just don't like getting bullied. Who does. I say fight back or cash in your chips and go home. Who respects a wimp!

He stated his age in the very fist post. Cameron, you have SERIOUS problems. You posted in a gleeful manner that it's right to attack someone, you encouraged it. If you see that as a good thing, you've got worse problems that I suspected.

I am a moderator here, my "job" is to keep things on the level and try to encourage people to do good things. If you don't understand this, then I guess you never will.

You said you were leaving, now you're back. And for the record, I've been VERY NICE TO YOU FROM DAY ONE. I encouraged you numerous times in public and in private. You jumped all over me when your suspicious paranoia kicked in.

GROW UP or leave permanently this time.

Ok guys! I think what Cam

was trying to say is if one gets pushed , push back. I don't think he was saying beat the h--- out of someone just because.. I have a 16 year old and I would be more than proud if he was defending the helpless, voiceless creatures of this world. Not to many teens in this world would be brave enough to stand up for a pigeon, fighting is not the answer but if someone pushed me and told me to f---off I would probably do the same...

Please be careful defending our feathered friends, next time you see this person around call the law and tell them what you witnessed and maybe he will be cited for animal cruelty.. I wouldn't approach him again , just call the cops..

Thanks Andi,

You have a good grasp on the situation and understood me well.

Sorry Brad, I am not gone afterall. Poor you! Not by my own accord anyway. You can always exercise your great Moderator powers though if you don't like my comments. Please don't tell me how nice you are to me in a thread and then be nasty to me off-line. You know what you have said in past PM's and E-mails to me so let's get that little puppy straightened out right now for the record.

All I said was push back when pushed. Is that so wrong my friend?

One day we will wake up and say, "Why didn't I do something before the Polar bears became extinct"....."Why did I not do anything when everyone said global warming was destroying the earth"..."Why didn't I stand up for the environment when the rain forests of South America were being destroyed",...Why did I not Blah, Blah, Blah.

So you think I have problems because I support animals and the environment but you are OK because you sit in your home and lecture me over the net??????????????????????????????????????????????? ???????????????????

Do you think it is OK to harm pigeons in their nest? Or any animals for that matter. What are you prepared to do Brad besides lecture me for saying "YES, STAND UP TO the IDIOTS" Time is short. We are witnessing the the greatest extiction this planet has ever seen. It is happening in our lifetime and there are not enough people prepared to put their values on the line and fight backagainst what is wrong. So push back like you have done tonight. But push against what is wrong. I am not wrong my friend.

Quite frankly Cameron, it's posts/comments like these that creates threads to be closed.

It's late, perhaps we should call it a day.

Perhaps it's time the air was cleared. Maybe we should bring back the private message log between yourself and I. Then perhaps we should also get Cindy involved ....let's go all the way back to these "terrible" things you are referring to that I've done. You wanted to make your PM's public of Victors, so this is how you want it?

The posts I made responding to you are all public for everyone to see. If anyone wants to do a search, click on member name "camrron" and search all posts. Go to the beginning of them and then start reading the posts and find my responses to Cameron. In fact, I just commented yesterday on a post he made and that it was good advice.

You freaked out on me months ago, when you wanted me to read the email your wrote to Cindy, about Phil. Then you became all paranoid and erratic like you've demonstrated numerous times in here, then you erase or edit your posts the next day as if nothing happened. You're a hot head, a loose cannon and very, very paranoid.
