Oriental rollersI have some great rollers which are of good show quality but it is difficult to keep their feather condition in top shape. My yellows are beautiful but the feathers are very soft,
and if I get any signs of lice before a show the tails get hit hardest. These birds don't have oil glands. Any help out there as to how to keep them in prime shape. |

Hello and welcome to Pigeons.com
Have you tried garlic oil in their water? It is great for their feathering, as well as cleaning their blood stream. I've had one bird on the garlic oil caps and his feathering is thick and beautiful with full plumage. Another older bird was on it for months and after the moult his feathers came in beautifully! This was during the time he was healing from a broken leg! You can give them each individual bird the softgel caps or put 1 teaspoon minced garlic clove in a gallon of water for the flock. Treesa
