Lisa,
The mate has canker but is resistant to a full blown infection. She's giving it to the one that is less resistant. You have to treat both birds at the same time if you want to get rid of it once and for all. |

lisa it is very inportant to treat them together if you do get it to a state that it doesnt show try giving one tabelsponn of apple cider vinager per gallon of water once a week my birds seem to drink a bit less that day but havent seen canker in a little over a year check out jedds.com has a good soulutions page

The incomplete treatment of the pair of birds has probably resulted in a form of canker resistant to antibiotics. You're going to have to use a antibiotic you haven't used on the bird (and his mate too, at the same time)to see if you can rid him of canker.

Lisa,try a treatment called metronidazole or harkanker this is what we use every three weeks in england along with cider vinegar and special pigeon teas.
