Question about dove breeding

Its been awhile since i last posted and i would like to know can you breed a father to a daughter in the dove world ? Someone asked me this the other day and i told them i would find out for them. Baby eve turned out to be a boy and we call him mathew. He is big and just full of himself. Mary and joseph are hatching their last 2 eggs today. The first egg is almost hatched and the second should hatch fully tonight. Maybe this time i will get my girl. Once they have hatched i will post some new pics.

This is called inline breeding and is often done in show bird breeding situation. I do know know for sure about doves, but I believe it would be ok to inbreed.
Perhaps someone else will post here that knows about doves.
Regards,
Carl

Hi,
Inbreeding in fine, I do it ALL THE TIME in my loft. Nothing bad has never came from it that I've heard?

thanks for the info. Oh I just want to tell everyone that mary and josephs first egg hatched today and we have a bouncing baby boy so far. His name is Daniel. This morning he took a tumble from the nest when he got stuck on moms belly but he is eating very good so hopefully nothing will come from this. According to many dove breeders and Dr. Wilmer the 2nd egg that is pipping now should a girl and she should be white. If so she will be named Eve. Mary and Josephs first baby that is now 6 weeks old still lives with mom and dad and he is soooooooo funny. He cant coo yet but he has his bow coo down to a tee. He chases his mom around bow cooing to her all day and when dad gets off the nest at night he gives him a " what for". Boy are doves funny...... He is a perfect angel when dads not in the nest.
