Ruffles has lost her friend Misty (cat)

Hi all, Ruffles lost her friend Misty on Tuesday, she passed away from cancer. It was an amazing bond between a cat and a bird. Over the past two months while Misty was sick, mostly laying on the bathroom floor, Ruffles spent most of her time in there with her, keeping her company. The two of them got along EXCELLENT. Misty would always leave room on my lap for Ruffles to join us. Needless to say, Ruffles has been looking everywhere for her all week. I now know why Ruffles landed on our doorstep almost two years ago, it was to help us get through this difficult time, and I am so thankful we have her. The wonderful bond between bird and cat has to be truly unique. I hope the wonderful memories will bring you thru this. You and Ruffles will have to comfort each other for now. Give Ruffles an extra hug from me.

Remember, Misty is now in peace and has wonderful memories of her earthly life with you and Ruffles.

Its not common that a cat and bird would bond aswell as misty and ruffles. I feel sorry for ruffles.

My heart broke reading your post. Misty had a great life with you and Ruffles. Ruffles may need some extra attention with the confusion of Misty not being there. Your pictures are great thank you for sharing.

I have house pigeons and I know how unusual and treasured your animal friends are - so I know how it feels. My birds always do much better than I do when it comes to turning the page. just have to keep going.
