THANK YOU! AZWHITEFEATHER.

I HAD 5 PALM TREES TIMMED AND 2 CUT DOWN. IN THIS PROCESS TWO BABIES LOST THERE NEST AND ONE PIGEONS DID NOT LEAVE THE TREE THAT WAS CUT DOWN. ONCE THE TREE WAS ON THE GROUND THIS PIGEON COMES WALKING OUT OF THE TREE. IT WAS WIERD. I WAS CONFUSED ON WHAT TO DO AND THE BIRDS WERE SCARED. I CALLED CINDY, AND SHE CAME OVER AND NOW HAS HER HANDS FULL. THE ODDS OF THESE GUYS MAKING IT HAS INCREASED. I FEEL GUILTY FOR TAKING THEIR HOMES AWAY AND WHAT THEY WENT TROUGH. TO TRY AND TAKE CARE OF THEM AND THEN LOSE THEM WOULD BREAK MY HEART.
THANK YOU CINDY FOR BEING SUCH A NICE PERSON AND HAVING THE EXPERIENCE YOU HAVE WITH PIGEONS. I AM SO GLAD THAT YOU LIVE CLOSE BY.
IF YOU NEED ANYTHING OR IF YOUR HUSBAND NEEDS HELP BUILDING A CAGE, CALL ME.

THANKS AGAIN,
KIM

Thumbs up

Good morning everyone,
I wanted to post an update on Kim's rescued pijjies.

They had a restful night & appear ready to take on the day.

The squeakers (I estimate to be about 3 weeks old) are not drifting far from each other. They are eating & drinking on their own. Generally just being sweet pijjies.

"Splash" (the only name I can think of at the moment, as he looks like paint has been 'flipped' on him leaving a fine lined brush appearance), is alert, perching & probably hoping he won't be released in the direction of another palm tree. lol. He is a stunning bird.

Kim,
Thanks to you for initially helping these pijjies.
I'm so glad it worked out that I could help you, help them. Team work is the greatest!
Cindy

"SPLASH" THAT NAME IS PERFECT. MAYBE NEXT TIME SPLASH SHOULD STICK TO THE 10 FOOTERS. THE ONE HE WAS IN WAS A 50 FOOTER. I NICE CLEAN PALM WOULD BE A GOOD CHOICE ALSO. MINE WERE A MESS AND THAT WON'T HAPPEN AGAIN.
THANK YOU AGAIN CINDY.

WOW!! I would say Splash had an angel riding on his wing when he & the tree came tumbling down. So far he seems to be doing OK.

*THANK YOU AGAIN CINDY.*

You are most welcome.
They are a pleasure. Those squeakers are a hoot! Just too cute.
Cindy
