Thanks so much

Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for your kind words, here and the private messages that I have recieved.
We did have 1 more bird come in last night at almost 8:00. It was actually one of the birds I hand raised, (we've gotten 2 of 3 of those back). He flew towards the loft and I was sitting on the deck and I said "there comes one of my babies" and he heard me and came up to the deck and landed on the roof right over my head. I walked down to the loft and called him and he followed and trapped right in.
Then this morning we've had 4 more come in, so we've gotten a total of 25 back so far. Although I know time is probably running out on most of them, I'm still hoping for a few more.

Hi There,

I'm glad a few of the birds have returned, don't be surprised if more don't come back in the next few weeks. I have heard of pigeons coming back even after a few weeks to a month.

I am so glad your "baby" has returned as I know what it is like when a hand raised baby is lost. We had a hawk attack the day we were training one of my hand raised racing babies. His training was going so well. Well he was gone for two full days.

When he came back I was so thrilled even though he was totally dehydrated, empty, and tired. It took a week of intense rehab to get him back. We had to get fluid in him quickly and he was not absorbing the electrolytes at all. Finally got fluid back in the tissues, with my rehabbers homeopathy, and he is well now.

Don't give up, it is still early and maybe some of them are with the feral pigeons and will return with them, like the other did.
