To keep water from freezing....I set the water container on top of a heating pad turned on low which I place on top of a milk crate.
Been experimenting with this for a week now. Last night it was 9F here and this morning the water was still not frozen. On the down side, you have every pigeon in the loft fighting over who gets to sit on the cozy pad next to the waterer, to keep their footsies toasty.  |
