wild pigeonyesterday i found a wild pigeon and my vet said that after a few weeks i should release it but he is so young(5 months)and i want to make a pigeon house for him but how do i make that pigeon house it will go in my garden so he can live in it

I suggest you go to the bulletin board entrance and click on "search" up on the right side of the screen.
Then type words like Loft, Pigeon Loft, etc. You will get quite a few posts on this subject. You will also see that it depends upon what kind of pigeons you have, how many, etc. Regards, Carl |

That sounds like a great idea. Pigeons have homing instincts so he will most likely stick around. That is if the predators don't get a hold of him. If you are keeping him indoors don't let him get used to other family pets, because he will learn not to be afraid of them. If you are going to let him fly free and provide a nest box for him, then he will need to fear other animals.
If you are planning on building a loft and a flight aviary he will be safe from predators so then you wouldn't have to worry about him becoming used to your pets. Others will be along to give good advice. Julie |
