Hey Rick, I believe if your showing pigeons that you will want to keep the young birds separate from the older kit. You will want a separate Breeding loft, separate juvinile loft and a separate kit loft (old birds and stock birds) for racing pigeons and roller pigeons. I'm not exactly sure about show birds but I think its the same deal.

In all the show lofts I've been in they only had one section... but I guess it would be better for the young and the breeders to have there own section... Ryan

I havent got any show birds but i'm just about to build another loft for my young birds...just makes it so much easier.I find when they breed the babies get chased around by some of my males and they can be quite aggressive.Also i'm going to split my original loft into 2 separate areas for splitting up my male and females....I live in australia so my breeding season is just over and their in moult...
If you got the time and money i would build something for your young birds... cheers Minus... ![]() |
