Another bird found. This bird was found thanks to my woundering what that little sound was.
Its a male sparrow with a broken leg the wings seem fine and it was hoping ok but no flying.I let it sleep safe in the shed with some seeds hopefuly it shall get to the bright side and start to fly again even with a broken leg birds can live like that.Looks like tge leg has been like that for a while. Is there anything else I can do for it? Last edited by christina11; 15th June 2006 at 07:39 PM. |

Were the toes flexible? That color looks kinda' dark as though the foot's going to dry up and die. If that's just bruising, there are ways of fixing that and splinting the foot so that it can heal somewhat more normally.

The leg and foot don't look too good, Christina. I think you better keep this one for a bit at least until we know what is or isn't going to happen with that leg and foot.
You've had a busy rescue day Terry |
