antibiotic + rug together

Hi,
my bird has a sudden change in voice. the vet here says there might be swelling in her syrinx & has prescribed betenesol. While my earlier vet has prescribed doxycycline. can these two be given together. ive asked the vets but they havent replied to my mail as yet. And for docycycline 10mg /kg to be given is that right?

Where are you located?

Does the bird have any other symptoms?

Could be a variety of things, canker comes to mind.

Could also be just a simple "growing up" in which case no meds would be needed at all.
Do your vets actually deal with pigeons on a regular basis ?
