COBB Chickens

Hello

I was wondering if anyone could give me some information on the breed of chickens called ( COBB CHICKENS)

From what I have found out so far , they are bred entirely for meat production and apparently they are a huge chook . Can anyone tell me what their egg laying capacity is ?? and if anyone has them as pets and what their temprament might be like . Currently I have to 2 Rhode island reds and 2 Orpington pullets....I'd also like to add a Silver Laced Wyandotte and perhaps a Light Sussex or Plymouth Rock.

Darren

They are an American breed with blue feet used for meat, usually meat bird are not good layers. so if you are looking for egg production stay with the egg laying breeds... the wyandottes are used for both I do think.
