What Kind Of Bird Is This?I just took these pics in my back yard of a bird I've never seen before so I had to crawl in the snow and mud and through some bushes to get up close enuff to get a good picture. I'm just wondering if anybody knows what kind of bird this is. Any info would be great.

Looks like an american woodcock.... it eats worms.... probably can't find food with this snow. You might get some meal worms, wax worms or earth worms and put them out for it to find. Petland sells live food in NY area.

I seen him walk run and fly when i was following him around my yard trying to get a better pic. At first I was walking out to my coops with water and I almost stepped on him he was right under my feet when he took off and landed about 100ft away. So I went in the house got my camera at first I was trying to ge the pic without the flash but it was getting dark so I had toi use the flash. The first pic was the last pic I was able to get of him I was crawling in the mud and snow and I was able to get about 3 feet away from him when I took that last pic then he took off and flew over a 6 foot fence into my neighbors yard. He was pretty cool he looked slow but he wasn't when you got close he was like lightning.
