Daytona

He has a nest box but perfers a pot of dirt. I thought this was cute. He also gets the scenic view of the backyard from this spot.

I think Daytona was a PMV or maybe head trauma pij when I caught him. He use to spin around in circles that's why I named him Daytona. He did the star gazing, had a problem picking up seed from the ground. I swear one time when I was cleaning out the cage he freaked and did a back flip, it happen so fast. He use to stress out on me but now he doesn't run from me and feels very comfortale just biting my hands.

Would you concider a lovely hen to keep him company that is also a PMV survivor? I would buy you a bigger flower pot.

Daytona has Darlington, canker survivor (beak scissored). This was my early pigeon days and was not thinking of the consequences of putting them together. I did have Daytona for awhile before I put them in the same cage.
They became friends and Daytona did become more relaxed.
They do have a basket but Daytona just took a bath and decided to dry off in a pot of dirt.
They have been together for a couple years know.
I've been trying to size (again and again) a picture of them to post but for some reason it will not work.
