Foreign friendsI Just got back from a week in Barbados (lovely country and friendly people). I think my sister thought I was nuts when I saw a large flock of ferals there and got really excited!
I started feeding the mourning doves and other little birds from the hotel balcony every morning and evening and I think the bird addiction rubbed off on her too. I managed to convince her to share her cookies with the birds too, although she was somewhat reluctant. Made a feral friend on the beach, which we named Gimpy since he had lost a foot. Of course I had to give a bit of pigeon info to someone who saw me feeding Gimpy! We had a wonderful time and the pigeons made it all perfect! |

I'm glad you had such a nice vacation. Thank you for your kindness shown to our feral friends and sharing your enthusiasm there, and for sharing with us.
God bless and watch over Gimpy and his friends. Did you take any pictures?

I do that when I go to Argentina, Pigeons in Buenos Aires are so friendly, I had many some pics also, but I go to a park that is in front of the Congress, I was not able to go there every day, but at least 5 times every time I was in Buenos Aires, I was buying the seeds in the park, and feeding them, they were hundreds of thousands, and they were in my shoulder, head, eating in my hands, it was unique, I was like many kids buying food and feed them... is a great experience.. I miss Buenos Aires and my lovely feral friends. =)

Unfortunately my camera broke right before we left so I have to wait for my sister to provide me with copies of hers.
