Hot time in the old town last night

Looks like the lightning has almost got the whole mountain torched up down the road from the house. So far we have recieved 5 more displaced baby barn owls, but last time this happened we had lots more, I had about 20 bunnies in the yard this morning, they always show up in droves when their territory get burned up. Wish the birdies & animals luck the fire is still burning this morning - but it looks like it is down some from what was happening last night.

NAB :-)

OH NO, Nab! I am so sorry to hear about the fire(s)!!

Of all the disasters, fire scares me the most! All I can think of are the displaced animals and those that don't make an escape!!!

Sure hope the fire will be out soon!

You have the most beautiful place!!

LOVE, HUGS TO ALL

I do wish you all luck, birds and other wildlife. Fires are tragic, especially for the little critters who can't fly or outrun the smoke and flames. The last few years have been terrible with the drought over most of the west. From the picture, it looks like you are pretty vunerable yourself to wildfire. Hope all goes well and they get that fire out quickly.

That is so frightening.
I'm praying you all stay out of harm's way.

Hi Nab,

Sorry to hear about the fire, and hope you all get some much needed rain soon.

I do hope and pray all the animals and birds are out of there, safe and sound.

We are finally getting some much needed rain, hopefully you will too. You live in such a beautiful area.

Thanks for sharing.
