House-Dove images: "Mothra"...Hi everyone,
Just a charming couple images of little 'Mothra' who likes to perch with his Wings slightly tucked under him, so he looks flattenned out ( loike a Persimmon I s'pose), and has those 'Artichoke' shoulders. His pal 'Dovezilla' also does this but is presently in a dim lit area and I could not get a decent snapshot... Phil Las Vegas Last edited by pdpbison; 8th July 2008 at 04:09 PM. |

Hi Shi, Maggie,
Yes, 'Mothra' and 'Dovezilla' indeed are in homage to the old Japanese Monster Movie ( "Mothra meets Godzilla" ) of similar name... Both of them often snooze on the top of the open Lap Top, as well as other areas...and uaully sleep on me ( shoulder, knee, foot or as may be) or next to my head on the pillow, at night on the bed. Sometimes after dawn, one of them pecks gently at my eye lid, at my eye lashes, and this of course wakes my up instantly...where I merely say "Geeeeze you guys!" and roll over and tuck my face in and go back to sleep...and they leave me be and fly off to do whatever...but they are up and at 'em, while I am still wanting to sleep some more. Mothra ( the slightly smaller and more steep forehead of the two ) likes being 'squished' flat in Hand Nest and petted for say 30 seconds or so...then indicates he is satisfied and just wants to stand and preen or hang out close by. While Dovezilla likes a similar thing but only for about five seconds or so...then wants to be a shoulder Bird or just to hang out somewhere on the desk or Computer top. Curious how as individuals they can be so different in various ways. They have the fastest Wing-Chops I have ever seen, too...not to me, but sometimes to eachother. "Fwit!" Faster than the eye can see... Lol... Phil Las Vegas |
