Their beautiful, and the one you lost is a Fancy Pigeon with those feathered feet and legs.
BUT, your gonna loose alot more with that flimsy chicken wire........a raccoon will reach right thru that and grab the birds. Or mice and rodents will go in for food......and their droppings carry salmonella. I hope your in the process of building a more secure loft?!!!

that set up looks about as bad as it can get..... they need more protection with 1/4 inch hard wire cloth and a loft to perch in...

The crested ones are Archangels, the non crested ones are Rollers, and the light colored one with the muffs is a Swiss Cresent.

polo the only breed used for racing are homing pigeons.. these won't do that.. they will be afraid of you for awhile they are in a new place... please ask your parents to make them a better shelter.

Well, unfortunately there aren't any starlings there Not that I can see. If I had the money, or lived nearby, I'd help you get a better setup. It's sad your parents don't like the idea of pigeons. They are such wonderful birds!

The only way I can help, is once you get a loft or such, if you'd like to get into racing...I can send you some racers I was 15 when I started racing.

Where are you located by the way? Maybe we have some generous members nearby that could visit and help you out!
