Ravens and crows are amazing animals. I only wonder what happened to the raven after that guy left. Obviously a youngster, probably used to getting fed by tourists and locals. I can tell you if I was taking those videos, I'd probably have gone home with another passenger in the car.

Me too .. that was still a healthy youngster in the videos but way, way, way too trusting and tame towards the human. Something was amiss here.

Hi Maureen and All,

WAY cool videos! What an adorable, sweet bundle of black feathered love That raven was just such a darling and demonstrated the intelligence these birds are well known for.

I think this raven was healthy but obviously a little hungry too. I think this is a hand raised bird that either got away from it's owner or was released in hopes it would do well now by itself. Regardless, it's way too tame to be out in the wild and around humans. I feel sorry for it, I wish it was me that found him because I would have taken him home as well. In would have kept him until I could have found him a good home....probably at Jimmy's I'm sure Jimmy would love to have one of these magnificent birds!

Not sure what else to say on these videos, I think this man was feeding him and even though he seemed a little greedy with his sandwich. I think this person had a bit of a potty mouth as well but seemed to genuinely like the raven and was endeared by it.

Thanks Maureen for sharing them with us

If that had happened to me, I would definitely have been a goner....that bird would have been coming home with me for sure!

I enjoyed the videos. Looks like a fledgling that someone raised and released. Just hope he doesn't meet up with a jerk.

Noticed Hilary Dawn had some videos of a 3 week old "Marvin". They were really cute too.

He appears to be a young raven. They have much bigger beaks and talons; and in flight it's easy to tell the difference as the raven's feathers spread out a bit like fingers, while the crow's feathers stay together to form a solid wing. The fluffy bits of feathers on him are a good sign that he's a youngster.

The guys language did tame down a little the more he got attached to the raven. I could just picture this guy sitting at the bar with his friends talking bout his camping trip.
I'm glad it wasn't me I would have to bring the little guy home with no clue what to do with a raven, or I would have to go back everyday to feed and check on him.
Youtube is addicting!
