Good-bye Priscilla.....I went out to water the birds yesterday morning and found that little Priscilla had passed away during the night.
 I have had her for a long time, since I found her at a San Francisco shelter more than four years ago. She is survived by her loving husband, Leonardo, pictured here with her this summer.  Good-bye, Priscilla, and thank you for being my pigeon!!

Hi Maryjane,
I am so sorry to hear about Priscilla! I have always found the following poem by Mary Frye, very comforting and I hope you do too! DO NOT STAND AT MY GRAVE AND WEEP Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am in a thousand winds that blow, I am the softly falling snow. I am the gentle showers of rain, I am the fields of ripening grain. I am in the morning hush, I am in the graceful rush Of beautiful birds in circling flight, I am the star shine of the night. I am in flowers that bloom, I am in a quiet room, I am the birds that sing, I am in each lovely thing. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there. I did not die. Also sending COMFORTING HUGS TO YOU!

The passing of Priscilla, Leonardo's wifeHello Maryjane,
I looked again at your Picasa web picture gallery, which I had spent many minutes in the past looking at, and everything fell into place. Priscilla was in the picture "Mom, do you mind?" which I thought so funny. I am sorry for your loss. Your birds had a happy-looking place, cosy. Please keep us updated on Leonardo. Maybe he needs some safflower seeds, or some special treatment, hugs, for a while. Larry

My condolences, Maryjane, on the loss of your precious Priscilla.

Maryjane, I am sorry. Any ideas on the cause? It sure hurts to lose any but one you've had that long hurts even more. Kiss Leonardo for me. Big hug to you.

I'm so sorry you lost Priscella, Maryjane. As Shi's poem mentions Priscella is free flying with all times lost loves, eternally happy.
